The Beautiful sound of the Samick

I've always been entranced by the beauty of the sound coming from a piano. It sort of takes your imagination away to a far far away land, far from your daily stress and responsibilities. It's poetic, magical, hypnotizing, relaxing, and it makes you happy.

That is why I'm a bit sad that we have to give our piano away at this time, as we don't have room for it in our new place in Roseville CA. It has given our family so much, with beautiful music played on the weekends (not by me of course) and happiness through out. We will miss her and hope one day, she will come back to us when the time is right.

Andrew's First Holy Communion

On May 2, 2009, Andrew had his first Holy Communion. It was a blessed day for all of us and especially for Andrew. We are so happy for him and all the other children who had their first communion. Here are a few pictures from that day.

Here a few pictures of Andrew before the ceremony..

Andrew's sister Alexa and cousin CJ decided to join in on the pictures. CJ also was having her first Communion.

I really liked the cake..

Gotta get in a picture of Fe Lyn and I :)

Lake Tahoe / Carson City / Reno

A few weeks back (work with me now, I'm going back in time since I haven't posted in pictures in so long), Fe Lyn and I took a quick trip up to Lake Tahoe for the weekend. We also visited Carson City and Reno in Nevada as well.

It's no secret that I really enjoy the beauty of Northern California and Lake Tahoe is one of my favorite places to visit. Here's a picture I took that I stitched 5 different photographs together.

A couple of shots of Fe Lyn

Lake Tahoe during Sunset is stunning..

Shot of Fe Lyn in Carson City, the Capital of Nevada.

Happy Birthday to Fe Lyn...

This time of the year is always thankful for me, as the Lord blessed me with a wonderful wife in Fe Lyn. Who else could put up with me but her! Thanks God. For her birthday we took to Mission Bay for a little picnic and of course.. a few pictures, here are some of my favorite.

This is probably my favorite of the day.

Fe Lyn had asked all of her friends to wear sun dresses, don't they all look good?

I really like this picture, this was a stitch of 11 pictures put together.

Ready Set Go!

As we begin transitioning to Sacramento, we decided to spend Spring Break up there last week. Although I was miserable with a stomach virus for 4 days during the vacation, we still managed to have some fun at a friends Pool, check it out, Ready Set Go!

The Sun is setting in San Diego

It's official, our family will be moving up to Roseville CA (Close to Sacramento) by the end of June. We will miss San Diego and most of all, the wonderful friends we have made during our 10 year stay. Thank you all for your support and friendship, we hope we can stay in touch with all of you.

This also means my Photography Hobby/business is moving up to Northern Cal, but if you are in need of a family picture before I leave, please contact me at alex@alexcphoto.net for a moving special.

Before we leave beautiful San Diego, we went to Del Mar Beach and took some pictures with our family. Enjoy.

Utah

They say Utah is God's country with all of its beautiful landscapes, mountains, canyon's and rivers. I couldn't agree more. I love going to Utah as the Photo opportunities are endless. We usually go to Brian Head Utah, which is in the Southwestern part of the state. Brian Head is known for it's Ski Resort and high elevation (at least 10,000 feet). We went there last year and it was breathtaking, here are a few of my favorite pictures.

The path to the parking lot at Cedar Breaks overlook was covered with Snow. Normally you'll see a road here with a parking lot.

Fe Lyn is enjoying the view..

This shot reminds me of the famous "Footsteps in the sand" painting..

Can you find Fe Lyn in this picture?

It sure is beautiful in Utah.
