Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday, we took the children out to our annual visit to the Pumpkin Patch at Bates Nuts Farm in Valley Center, CA. This is probably one of the best pumpkin patches in San Diego, we really enjoy coming here every year before Halloween.

Kaylana Baptism

Kaylana Sands was baptised at the Good Samariton Church in San Diego. Family and friends were on hand to witness Kaylana's initiation into the Catholic Church. It is always a good feeling to see a young family grow, especially this one since I had photographed Kaylana's parents wedding last year. Kaylana is infectious with her smile, she is such a beautiful baby and I was glad to had been there during this special day.

Here is the Sands family arriving at the Church. Just in time!

New York New York!

I know, I've been a bit behind in my blogging, no excuses!

I couldn't just skip our last stop in our East Coast Trip, NY. It was raining, no check that, it was POURing on our way to NY. We didn't know what to expect, we didn't know if we could see some of the areas of NY that we wanted to hit. But it turned out to be one of our best trips to NY.

If you ever visit NY, try going by Subway, it seems the most efficient method of transportation (we had limited time) and make sure you are with someone who is very familiar with the trains. It can get really confusing!

Our first stop was Battery Park to see if we could visit the Statue of Liberty. Well, it was raining cats and dogs at this point, and it wasn't very visible. We decided to skip the ferry to the SOL so we had time to see other areas of NY (we've been there before anyway).

We decided to head towards Wall St, but stopped near a landmark Church, St. Paul's. I really enjoy history, and it amazes me to see graves from 200 years ago..

We made it Wall St.. this was just before the Stock Market crashed 700 pts..

We had a nice view of the Brooklyn Bridge.. by now our feet were starting to feeling it, having walked from Battery Park, to Wall St. to this pier that has a view of the Brooklyn Bridge..

But we weren't done, we found the nearest subway and took the next train to Central Park. It was the perfect time to go, the area had been drenched with rain over the past few days, making everything so GREEN. Coming from California where everything is BROWN, it was a beautiful site to see.. this is a memorial for John Lennon.. Imagine..

Everything was so green.. I really like the colors in this next picture with Fe Lyn..

You can probably guess what movie you've seen this bridge in..

And the next couple of shots have also been in movies..

Irma was our tour guide... thank you for showing us around!

After Central Park we headed towards Columbus Square to get some food..

Fe Lyn had a moment to call our children..

You can't be in NY without the Yellow taxis..

Since it was Sunday, we decided to attend mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral..

From here it was a short walk to Rockefeller Square..

And then something odd happened.. we started jumping :)

We ended up at Time Square.. and end to a wonderful day around NY.
